The government has decided to publish the names of martyrs it announced over different period of time in the Nepal gazette.
The Cabinet meeting held on Monday decided that the martyrs announced by the government following the people’s war, people’s movement and Madhes movement in different times but missed in documentation would be published in the gazette.
In a press meet organized to share the Cabinet meeting decisions on Tuesday, Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Rekha Sharma, shared that although names of various martyrs were announced in different times, some were still not recorded in the gazette.
“Now, the name of the martyrs will be published based on the announcement to this regard,” the spokesperson said, adding that government decided to set up an integrated data centre of the government by preparing data and information system of all government bodies.
Moreover, the integrated data centre of the government based in Kathmandu and disaster recovery centre in Hetauda would be run in full capacity where technologists on networking and cyber security would observe vigilance round the clock.
The government has given approval to Secretary at Finance Ministry Toyam Raya to attend the mid-term review programme to be organized by the Asian Development Bank in Philippines on March 9 to 10. Similarly, the meeting gave consent to form a talk team to finalize the agreement on the grant of 100 million US dollars for the quality health service system programme and another grant assistance of 3.84 million US dollars.
The government has decided to form a compensation determination committee to acquire land for the Karnali corridor 400-KV transmission line project.
The Cabinet has constituted a delegation led by foreign secretary to participate in the 23rd BIMSTEC meeting of Foreign Affairs Secretaries and senior officials to be held virtually in Bangkok, Thailand on March 8-9 and another delegation headed by Foreign Minister to take part in the 19th BIMSTEC minister-level meeting. The Prime Minister would take part in the meeting on behalf of the country in absence of Foreign Minister.
Also, the meeting has approved the trip of the delegation headed by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Narayan Kaji Shrestha to participate in the fifth UN Conference of Least Developed Countries to be held in Doha, Qatar on March 3-7.
Minister Sharma shared that Govinda Sharma Bandi has participated in the human rights related programme in Geneva, Switzerland on behalf of Nepal as the Prime Minister’s advisor and expert.
The government has granted approval for utilizing six ropani of land of the national forest area at Khanikhola-5 in Kavrepalanchowk for the construction of administrative building of Khanikhola rural municipality.
The meeting has decided to approve the Mountain Training Development Committee Formation (5th Amendment) Order, 2079.
