Nepal beat Namibia in ICC World Cup Cricket League-2

Nepal has registered third consecutive victory against Namibia in a triangular one-day series under the ICC World Cup Cricket League-2 today.
Nepal beat Namibia by three wickets in the match played at the Kirtipur-based Tribhuvan University International Cricket ground.
It may be noted that Nepal had defeated Namibia in the first and Scotland in the second match of the tournament.
Nepal overcame the 275-run target given by Namibia in 47.3 overs at the loss of seven wickets. Batsman Ashif Sheikh hammered the highest 81 runs iff 98 balls to secure Nepal’s win. He stroke eight fours and two sixes.
Likewise, Gyanendra Malla gathered 65 runs while Kushal Bhurtel contributed 62 runs. Captain Rohit Poudel scored 39 runs. Sompal Kami remained unbeaten with eight runs and Sandeep Jora and Kushal Bhurtel made one run each for Nepal.
Towards bowling, Namibia’s Ruben Trumpelman took three wickets while Bernard Scotz dismissed two.
Put on bat after losing toss, Namibia had gathered 274 runs in the limited 50 overs at the loss of six wickets. Nepal’s Sandeep Lamichhane took three wickets. Likewise, Karan KC took one wicket.
In the triangular one-day series, Nepal would play its final round against Scotland on February 21.
