Kathmandu.  The Artemis-2 spacecraft has returned to Earth from the back of the moon at the scheduled time. According to the BBC, the mission control room was relieved to receive the signal again after going out of contact for about 40 minutes at 4:30 a.m. Nepali time.

After contact was restored, mission specialist Kristina Koch, who was on board, sent a message. “I’m very happy to be able to talk to Earth again,” he said.

According to scientists, during this flight, astronauts are studying the lunar surface, craters, rocks and possible ice in the polar regions. They have even recorded the scenes by describing them through sound, which can be heard on Earth.

At the moment of the breakup, the astronauts were completely separated from Earth when they reached the back of the moon, a situation that has been rare for the past 50 years. Now, all the processes have been successfully completed and the spacecraft is on its way back to Earth.

Artemis-2 went to the moon last Thursday and will return to Earth next Friday.
