Kathmandu. At a time when ride-sharing riders have been demanding fair fares and earnings per kilometre, Pathao Nepal has said that it is positive towards the demand of riders for fair earnings.
Pathao Nepal’s Managing Director Yeshu Thakali said, “Riders should get a fair price for their labor, time, investment and risk. According to him, the financial security of the rider and the safe and reliable service that the customers get are interlinked.
Riders have been demanding a minimum fare of Rs 25 per kilometre. Although Pathao does not have an exact fare structure of Rs 25 per kilometre, the average effective fare for general rides of different distances is around Rs 25 per kilometre.
According to the company, the current fare structure includes base fare, per kilometer and per minute fare. According to Pathao, the fare is adjusted as per the need based on the price of fuel, cost, maintenance and other operating expenses.
