Kathmandu. Although the floods in Rasuwa district have confirmed human casualties, the exact details of the damage are yet to be ascertained.
According to Dawa Sidar Waiba, ward chair of Dhunche of Gosainkunda rural municipality-6, the flood has confirmed human casualties but the details of loss are yet to be obtained.
Talking to Nepal News Bank, ward chair Waiba said that the flood has caused a huge loss as well as human casualties. However, it was not immediately known how many people died or how many were affected.
Rescue operations are underway in flood-affected areas, he added. He said it was difficult to reach the affected areas by land as roads and bridges have been washed away and rescue efforts are underway through helicopters.
“Rescue is being carried out by helicopter. There is no possibility of going there, all the bridges have been washed away,” said Waiba.
He said that the details of the damage caused by the floods would be ascertained only after the rescue and search works are forwarded.
