Kathmandu. All civil servants working in the bodies under the federal government will now get salary and allowances every 15 days.
Issuing a circular, the Office of Financial Comptroller General has directed all its subordinate offices to make arrangements for payment of salaries and allowances on a half-monthly basis.
According to the office, the new system is being implemented as per the policy guidelines of the Ministry of Finance and the provision of the budget statement.
According to the Office of Financial Comptroller General, the employees working in the agencies under the federal government will be paid salary and allowances on a half-monthly basis after the completion of 15 days of every month.
For this, the office has informed that necessary arrangements have been made in its system.
Salary and allowances for that period will be paid after reaching every 15 days. According to the budget statement, the employees have also been instructed to pay the incentive allowance through this process.
The Ministry of Finance had made this provision since April with the hope that the government employees will not have to wait till the end of the month to pay their salary in 15 days and their daily cash flow will be easier.
