. KATHMANDU: The grass that has grown at the Dasharath Stadium, Nepal’s only international standard stadium, which has been out of action for a long time, has begun.
As the rainy season began, thick grass was growing all over the ground. The condition of the stadium was in disarray as no sporting events were held for a long time and there was no regular maintenance and cleaning.
After various media published news about the ground being covered with bushes and not being properly protected a few days ago, the concerned body has started cleaning the ground and cutting the grass.
The grass is currently being mowed and cleaned on the ground. Necessary maintenance and other management works have also been carried out to make the ground fit to resume play.
Dasharath Stadium is the premier international stadium in Nepal.TAG_OPEN_div_25 Various sports competitions including national and international football have been organized here. However, questions have been raised about the preservation and management of the ground as there has been no regular sporting activities in recent period.
