FIFA World Cup 2026: Full schedule of knockout stage announced, which teams will face when, where and when?

Kathmandu. The FIFA World Cup 2026 has announced the full schedule for the Round of 32 i.e. the knockout stage.

For the first time in history, a total of 32 teams, including the top two teams from each group and the eight wild-card teams with the best third-place finish, will compete in the knockout battle for the title.

A single defeat in this round will end the team’s World Cup journey starting on Sunday (June 28).

Group A runners-up South Africa and Group B runners-up Canada will face each other in the opening match of the knockout stage. In the second match, Germany will take on wild-card Paraguay, while five-time world champions Brazil will take on Asian powerhouse Japan. The fourth match will be played between the Netherlands and Morocco.
