Kathmandu. After the road collapsed at Krishnabhir on the Prithvi Highway, the transportation of cooking gas in cylinders outside the federal capital Kathmandu has started.
After the bullets carrying gas could not enter Kathmandu through an alternative route, they started filling gas in cylinders outside. Salt Trading Corporation’s ‘STC Gas’ has started being sent by filling it with Manoj Gas in Birgunj.
According to Bimal Kalakheti, the proprietor of Baba Gas, Baba Gas of Chitwan has sent 1,500 Shree gas cylinders on Tuesday. Shree Gas’s plant is located in Naubise, Dhading. Similarly, Saibaba has sent 900 cylinders to Kathmandu. Nepal Gas Gandaki has sent 1,200 cylinders of Nepal Gas to Balaju.
Shreeram Gas of Naubise has been supplied to Janaki of Gaindakot, Everest Gas of Kathmandu and Sugam Gas have been supplied to Sahara of Hetauda. STC gas of Salt Trading Corporation has been supplied by filling it with Manoj Gas of Birgunj.
According to Bimal Kalakheti, operator of Sagarmatha Gas in Banepa, Chandi Gas of Parasi, Popular Gas of Banepa, Super Gas, Tara Gas and others have started supplying cylinders to various gas industries outside Kathmandu through the Tribhuvan Highway.
Kalakheti, also a member of Nepal LP Gas Industry Association, said there would be no shortage of cooking gas as the import of LPG from India has not decreased and the industries that have not been able to supply the gas bullets are supplying them in trucks to other industries.
Stating that 60,200 metric tons of gas came to Nepal from India last month, he said that this quantity is the highest so far. A total of 16 industries located in the Kathmandu Valley and neighboring districts have started supplying the Kathmandu Valley by coordinating with the industries of Bara, Parsa, Chitwan, Makwanpur, Nawalparasi (Bardaghat-Susta East) and Nawalparasi (Bardaghat-Susta West).
