Kathmandu. Coordinator of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has pledged to create IT force by making maximum use of digital technology to take the party forward.

Inaugurating the party’s digital membership renewal and distribution campaign organized in the capital on Friday, he said that the use of digital technology was inevitable for the expansion of the party organization.

“Our party is now trying to move ahead afresh. It’s time for everyone to think. Now we are in the mood to struggle from all fronts of the parliament, the streets and the government. In order to use IT, an IT army or a huge IT army had to be created.

A huge IT army was needed to strengthen the party, expand it and be able to fight the new needs. This is something only the communists can do. It is only the communists and those who love the country to mobilize millions of people to create such an army. ’

He also expressed dissatisfaction over the lack of investment in the digital sector and compared it to election expenses.

He said, “A lot was spent on the election, but it was difficult for us to spend even one or two crores on IT. Crores of rupees have been spent in the same constituency, if half of that amount had been invested in IT, the result could have been different. ’

He also shared plans to make party stronger in favour of people and expand people’s organisation through digital means.

Criticizing the incumbent government’s policies and programmes, he accused the government of focusing on the welfare of the upper class rather than the welfare of the poor, workers and farmers.

“The government’s policies, programmes, budget and other decisions have made it clear that the government is against the poor, unhappy and working peasants of Nepal. It is clear that the focus is on protecting the interests of the upper class,” he said.

He directed all the members of the party to move forward with new thinking and enthusiasm without cultivating despair to benefit the reactionaries.
