Kathmandu. The government has directed the civil servants who do not return to work even after completing their studies and extraordinary leave and are out of contact to report to the office within 3 days.
Issuing the notice, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives, Federal Affairs and General Administration, Joint Secretary Ekdev Giri warned that action would be initiated if the employees fail to report to the office within 3 days.
According to the notice, some employees who were on study or extraordinary leave were found not attending the office as per the rules even after the leave was over and had not been in contact for a long time.
Saying that the personal details of some employees were not updated in the National Book Office, the official has directed them to update their records at the National Book Office within 3 days from the date of publication of the notice.
The ministry has also asked all ministries, commissions, secretariats and central level offices to verify the details of their employees. The Ministry has requested the government to update the details of the employees who have been granted leave, whether they have appeared or not after the expiry of leave and other necessary details within 3 days by coordinating with the National Record Office.
According to a notice issued by the Ministry’s Spokesperson and Joint Secretary Adhikari, the process of stern action will be taken as per the prevailing law in case the employees who do not report to the office even after the expiry of leave period or do not come into contact for a long time.
Lately, the tendency to go abroad or take up other professions but do not return to government service even after the leave is over.
