Kathmandu. The first look of the movie ‘Roll No. 1’ has been released. Seven Seas Cinema has released the first look of its new movie ‘Roll No. 1’.
The makers of the movie which will be released in theaters all over Nepal on Jeth 15 (Republic Day) have released two posters of the movie on Thursday.
The movie ‘Role No. The two posters of ‘1’ have tried to introduce the characters and present the main essence of the film, the perspective of Nepali society towards reality. The color of the soil used in the poster indicates that the ground belongs to the people.
In one of the two posters, child artist Nirvik Regmi, the film’s lead actor Mukun Bhusal and actress Renu Yogi are seen in rural attire. With their costumes, the film depicts their struggle to survive. The poster shows that he is educating his son even in the absence of a child.
In the first poster, the smile on the child’s face and the school in the hills behind it has made it clear that the film will raise the story of education and rural life, which is also told by the title of the movie.
The poster has an innocent smile on the child’s face. He is wearing a sweater and a shirt and carrying a bag, which is his student identity. This shows that he is the center of the family’s hope. The mother, who is behind the child, has a black bangle on her lap and the father is wearing a drum.
In the background, a hilly government school building is visible. Remote schools indicate that access to education is still out of reach for rural populations. The dirty clothes and faces of the parents indicate that they are working hard all day to make their son’s dream of ‘Roll No. 1’ come true.
In another poster, the child is seen sleeping with his head on his father’s back. There is happiness on the child’s face and the hilly terrain behind him. Where there is a copy under the child’s head and above his father’s head.
This indicates that the reading materials required for students are becoming a hindrance to the dream of education for rural students and parents. This poster is an attempt to show how difficult it is for rural parents to get reading material. This copy connects the child’s dream and the responsibility of a father.
The father’s back is presented here not only as a physical support, but also as the foundation of the child’s future. The struggle in the father’s tired face and eyes reflects the sacrifices a parent makes to educate his children.
There is a hint of fatigue and a degree of fear in his eyes. The father is worried about whether he will be able to ensure the future of his children. However, the child’s calm posture shows complete trust in his father.
The tagline of the film is ‘Every Student’s Story’, which makes it clear that the film focuses on student life, school struggles and academic dreams. It claims to be a common experience of the students of the common villages of Nepal.
The title of the film, ‘Roll No. 1’, talks about competition, but the poster shows the price a lower-class family has to pay to get that ‘1’ mark.
The first look poster of the film, which was released last year, also caught the attention of many with a child raising his hand in the classroom. Being a film made by the team of ‘Purna Bahadurko Sarangi’, which has achieved historic success at the box office and the ’emotional tone’ seen in the poster is sure to connect the audience emotionally with the film.
