Kathmandu. Newly-elected lawmaker and Labour Culture Party chair Harka Sampang has called on the labour donors across the country to be ready for the construction of a suspension bridge in Darchula district instead of a tuin.
In a video message posted on social media, the newly-elected Sampang said that he had sent people to get information about the topography of the bridge construction site and other technical information.
“I am constructing a suspension bridge in Darchula instead of a tuin. Labor donors should also be ready for the construction work to take place in this difficult geographical situation. I have already sent an advance team to the bridge construction site to take stock of the geographical condition and other technical information,” he said.
He said that it was not possible to transport dozers, crushers and other heavy machinery to the construction site due to lack of motorable road.
He said, “I will also go to the construction site after the team informs me about the situation in the remote area where there is no motorable road.” Due to the lack of motorable road, the bulldozer does not go to the construction site. It is not possible to transport crushers and other heavy machinery equipment. ’
According to Sampang, it will take 15 to 20 days to complete the bridge. “There is no electricity, so we can’t use drill machines,” he said. You can’t even carry a generator. Therefore, those who go for labor have to do the work of breaking stones and pebbles with the help of cubes, mortals, shovels, masonry and jugs to dig the road by hand. Therefore, it may take 15 to 20 days to complete the construction of the bridge.
Sampang has also urged donors to help with a minimum of Rs 10 per month.
