Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The District Attorney Office, Kathmandu, on Tuesday filed a case at the Kathmandu District Court against 13 persons involved in the burning of the Supreme Court, Singha Durbar and Police Office.
Information Officer at Kathmandu District Court, Dipak Adhikari, said that the case was filed against those involved in arson and destruction during the Jenji movement on September 24, on the charge of criminal riot and robbery.
The case has been filed against Sunil Shrestha, Jyoti Thapa, Binod Kumar Thapa Magar, Kumar Parajuli and Raju Pariyar on the charge of burning fire at the Supreme Court.
Shrestha, Thapa, Magar and Parajuli have suffered damages worth Rs 1.23 billion by setting fire to the Supreme Court, according to the charge sheet.
Likewise, a case has been filed against Ashish Gurung for his involvement in vandalism and arson at Singha Durbar, on the charge of criminal nuisance and robbery.
Likewise, case has been filed against Sameer Shrestha and Sunil Tamang on the charge of using Police Circle Bouddha. Likewise, case has been filed against Nikhil Kusule, Sohan Chaudhary, Bibek Rokka and Chhatra Bahadur BK for their alleged involvement in vandalizing the Balambu Police Sector.
The Supreme Court had filed a complaint at the Kathmandu Police Range, demanding action against those involved in the incident on September 7. Based on the complaint filed by the Supreme Court, the police investigated and filed a case against them.
