Kathmandu. KATHMANDU — The Election Commission (EC) is to conclude the voter education campaign for the House of Representatives election from February 13.
The Voter Education Special Programme was approved from February 17 as per the Election Education and Voter Education Directive-2078 BS for the election to the member of the House of Representatives. Voter education has been conducted across the country with the aim of reducing invalid votes by investing Rs 25 crore.
The silence period begins at 12 midnight tomorrow. The political parties will be allowed to organize rallies, mass meetings and publicity programs only till tomorrow night.
Meanwhile, the Election Commission has made it clear that no pass will be required for essential vehicles on election day. According to the Commission, a vehicle permit will not be required as per the Vehicle Permit Procedure, 2082 to make the vehicle operation management effective, systematic and essential service-friendly.
The commission has stated that no passes will be required for vehicles carrying fire trucks, ambulances, mortuary vehicles, drinking water, milk, fruits, vegetables, fish, meat and petroleum products.
There are only 4 days left for the House of Representatives elections.
