Kathmandu. Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) senior leader Balen Shah has claimed to make the far-western region prosperous and self-reliant. Addressing the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP)’s transformation manifesto meeting here today, he said his party only had the power to fulfill the dream of building a far-western country.
He pledged to end the situation of people being deprived of education and health services due to financial constraints. “There is no money in pocket, poor people should get education and health,” he said, adding, “The road to be constructed in two years will not be completed even in 20 years. ’
Stating that delay in infrastructure development would not be tolerated, he said road construction would be prioritized. “It can be done by tying it to a tree, sleeping on the road, going to a cage or making a road,” he said.
He claimed that if the RSP joins the government, a way will be made for the cadres of all political parties including NC, UML and Maoist Center and the general public.
Stating that there was talk of turning Nepal into Switzerland, he said the far-west region was a mine of natural and tourism potential. “People say the country should be made into Switzerland, but Switzerland’s father Badimalika is here,” he said. “Ramaroshan is the pinnacle of Switzerland, Khaptad National Park is here, why did Switzerland have to be built?”
Giving examples of places like Badimalika, Ramaroshan and Khaptad National Park, he stressed the need of highlighting the identity and potential of the far-west region at the national level. “We Nepalis have not been able to show the things that have happened, we have not been able to connect the far-western region,” he said.
Underlining the need of cultural and emotional unity between the far-west and Kathmandu, he stressed the need of establishing the identity of the far-western region at the national level. “The far-western region is connected to the day the songs of the far-west play in the squares of Kathmandu, and finally the far-west is connected to Kathmandu,” he said.
In the meeting, he claimed that the RSP has come to ask for work, not to ask for votes. “The Rastriya Swatantra Party has not come here to ask for votes, it has come to ask for work. Give me work,” he said. “Even if you don’t vote, the Rastriya Swatantra Party will make it far. Even if you don’t vote, give a list of tasks. The National Independent Party does its job. Far away, no longer far away, no more frustration. ’
