Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) and Film Development Board (FDB) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to collaborate on film tourism.
A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) and Film Development Board (FDB) on Wednesday.
Deepak Raj Joshi, Chief Executive Chairman of Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), said that tourism films are a huge potential of tourism sector in Nepal and it will be easy to highlight it.
He said, “Today’s program, this collaboration with Film Development Board will be very supportive.” Through some events and some policies, we will go to highlight the areas with great potential of Nepal. At the same time, we are looking forward to help. ’
President Joshi said that Nepali film will help in tourism promotion and tourism promotion is the most powerful means of promoting tourism in Nepal. Nepal’s tourism cannot be strong without cinema or cinema. We have seen it in many countries. ’
Film Development Board Chair Dinesh DC said the Karnali state government has allocated Rs 10 million for one year.
“The Karnali Province government has allocated Rs 10 million for one year. Rs 20 lakh for 5 films in a year that shoots in that area. If you go to Jumla from Kathmandu for 30 days, the production cost will be Rs 20÷30 lakh,” he said.
