Kathmandu. Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) parliamentary party leader Gyanendra Shahi said although he would support the government’s good works, he would always oppose the anti-people activities. Speaking at the meeting of the House of Representatives, he said that there is still a high expectation from the Prime Minister to take good governance and action against corruption.

“There is still hope and confidence that the Prime Minister of the country will take strong steps in favour of good governance,” he said. We are openly supporting the good governance of the government and we will continue to do so. We do not protest for the sake of protest, but we raise our voice against the anomalies in the parliament and we are raising our voices. ’

He demanded an impartial investigation into the issue of tax evasion in electric vehicles and leakage of budget information. Raising questions about the change in customs rate and loss of revenue, he demanded the formation of a parliamentary probe committee.

“We are not questioning the finance minister’s university certificate. We have raised questions about whether there was any change in customs rates, whether there was a leakage of budget information or not, whether the revenue loss to the state was caused or not. If nothing had happened, why did the Prime Minister’s Office think it necessary to control the vehicles coming from the customs for two weeks on electric vehicles

?”

He said there was no difference between the old and the RSP.

“Yesterday, when they were in power, they used to withdraw cases filed in the court, today you are in power, you are withdrawing court cases on your own, yesterday false cases were filed against them and they were intimidated by showing them to the court,” he said. Today, when you speak against you, pressure is created by showing the state machinery. Ministers are threatened from the rostrums of Parliament. ’
