KATHMANDU: The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA) has urged people to stay alert as the water level in the Bhotekoshi river has increased again.
Issuing a notice, NRA spokesperson Shanti Mahat urged those involved in the rescue to stay safe.
The notice reads, “There is a risk of further flood and all those involved in rescue and relief efforts on the banks of Bhotekoshi and Trishuli rivers and those living in the risk zone due to various reasons are requested to adopt high alertness and move to safer places immediately if they are at risk.” ’
Police have also urged people to move to safer places as they have received information that the dam has burst again.
