Kathmandu. The construction of Yam Buddha Skateboard Park in Kathmandu was initiated when Prime Minister Balen Shah was the mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City.
“Initially, the construction of the skateboard park was prioritized in Ward 16 but the project was stalled due to lack of land for the construction of the park,” said Ward No. 5 Chairman Birendra Prajapati and local community ।
The park has major structures such as an international standard skateboarding area (including ramps, bowls and streets), children’s playground, open gym, toilet block, volleyball court, etc.
According to the metropolis, the project is being pursued as a family-friendly community space to give expression to the culture of youths, promote art and music, and provide a family-friendly community space.
