Kathmandu. Children are being given vitamin ‘A’ and de-worming tablets today and tomorrow.
The government has come up with a national programme to administer Vitamin ‘A’ to children aged 6 months to 59 months and de-worming tablets to children aged 12 months to 59 months.
The first phase of the program was to be conducted on October 2 and 3, but this year due to the Dashain public holiday, the date has been changed and it will be fed today and tomorrow. The National Vitamin ‘A’ program being run by the Government of Nepal has been postponed by 2 weeks this year.
The government has been conducting this program in two phases every year. Under this, the second phase of the program is held on April 6 and 7.
