Kathmandu. Lawmakers of opposition political parties have chanted slogans in the House of Representatives. Lawmakers including the CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Centre) chanted slogans after Speaker DP Aryal obstructed the House of Representatives.
The Speaker of the House of Representatives, who had adjourned the first meeting due to the opposition’s protest, went ahead with the second meeting on Thursday instead addressing the demands and issues of the opposition.
Opposition lawmakers chanted slogans in the parliament after Speaker Aryal proceeded with the proceedings of the meeting. They chanted slogans such as ‘Maintain parliamentary decorum’, ‘Address the opposition’s demands’, ‘Down with undemocratic tendencies’ and ‘Down with an autocratic government’.
