The settlement is spread over an area of around TAG_OPEN_div_29 326 ropanis and houses have been constructed for 604 households, most of which were constructed by the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) and the rest were constructed under the earthquake relief program of the Government of Nepal. From a distance, the rowed houses, the greenery all around and the red rhododendron blooming on the hills in the spring make the settlement very beautiful and attractive. The hills adorned with flowers and roofs glittering in the bright sun attract everyone.

The remote village of Laprak in Gorkha district is now easily accessible due to the access to the road network.TAG_OPEN_div_27 With the upgradation of the road from Barpak to Laprak, most of the domestic tourists visit the settlement every day.
Out of the 604 households, only about TAG_OPEN_div_23 60 families are currently living there. Families have also had to make additional repairs to make their homes more livable—to install wooden windows and doors, to improve their interiors, and to lay stones.
