Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has started manufacturing a single cell box at Tukucha in Bagbazaar.

Kathmandu. Kathmandu: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has started construction of a box culvert at Tukucha River along the road section from Putalisadak to Bagbazar via Ratnapark. An agreement has been signed with Archive Star Construction Services Pvt. Ltd. to complete the culvert construction work by mid-April. The culvert will be 5 meters on the road side and 14 meters on the water side.

Now, a humme pipe will be installed to drain the water. The road has been completely closed for traffic after the culvert construction work started. An alternative route has been arranged for the vehicles heading towards Bagbazaar via Dillibazaar, Putalisadak Chowk and going to Bagbazaar via Ram Shah Path.

The contract amount is Rs 57,72,694. The metropolis has informed that the construction work will be carried out by prohibiting pedestrians as the people have to take risk to walk along the culvert during the construction of the culvert.
