Kathmandu. KATHMANDU — Preparations for the election to the House of Representatives have intensified at various polling centres in the capital as the election to the House of Representatives has reached the final stage.
Nepal Police, Election Police, local level employees and election officers are actively working in the polling centers set up at Mahabouddha area, Durbar High School, Padma Kanya Campus and Balmiki Campus.
Works like preparation of polling stations, ballot box management, voter line management and entry and exit routes are being carried out. Security personnel have stepped up surveillance to make the voting peaceful, dignified and fair.
The election officers are conducting the final check of the voting materials, mobilizing the staff and issuing necessary instructions. The representatives of the local levels are also coordinating and assisting in the management of the centers.
The Election Commission has said that necessary human resources and security arrangements have been made in all the polling centers. Additional security alerts have been put in place in sensitive areas of the capital.
