Kathmandu. The US State Department has urged its citizens in more than a dozen Middle Eastern countries to leave Iran immediately amid continued attacks by the US and Israel.

“US citizens are being directed to leave Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Israel, the occupied West Bank and Gaza, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Yemen using commercial flights or other means available,” said Mora Namdar, Assistant Secretary of State for Consular Affairs.

Tensions in the region have been heightened by the intensification of the attack on Iran and the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

The US government has issued this travel advisory keeping in mind the safety of its citizens.
