Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Shatachandi Mahayagya has begun at Devghat as part of the Magh festival, which is important in the religious and cultural sector of Nepal. According to the belief of Hindus, Shatachandi Mahayagya has religious significance to fulfill the wish of destruction of sins, prosperity and health.
Devotees from all over the country come to Devghat on the occasion of the festival.TAG_OPEN_p_17 Local devotees continue to receive blessings by taking part in ritualistic pujas, havan and religious rituals.
Especially, during the Magh festival, Shatachandi recitation, yajna, bhajan-kirtan and charity-charity programs are conducted. According to religious leaders, this Mahayagya not only enhances faith but also contributes to social unity and preservation of cultural heritage.
