Kathmandu. The Lions Club International Foundation (LCIF) has provided assistance worth Rs 30.8 crore to the people affected by the devastating floods in the Bhotekoshi River.
LCIF has awarded a $200,000 Major Catastrophe Grant for the rescue, relief and rehabilitation of the flood-affected people. The assistance will provide food, safe shelter, health care and other essentials to the affected families.
The assistance will be delivered to the affected families through the local Lions Club. The Lions Club has said that it will provide immediate relief to the affected communities after the disaster and will also carry out long-term rehabilitation, reconstruction and rehabilitation programs.
Meanwhile, relief materials have been distributed to more than 200 flood-affected families in collaboration with Lions District 325I Nepal and Lions Club of Kathmandu Samakhusi. The affected families have been provided with food, clothes and household essentials.
Despite the geographical difficulties and the risk of disaster, Lions volunteers have been mobilized to provide relief to the affected citizens. The Lions Club has pledged to help the affected communities recover with emergency relief.
