Kathmandu. Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle has said that the government has decided to forward the economic and policy reforms that have been stalled for long due to lack of effective use of political will and legal system.

Speaking at the inaugural function of the FIN Electro-Tech, Minister Pokharel said that preparations were underway to bring reforms in various Acts, Regulations and Work Procedures incorporated in the party’s manifesto after holding discussions with the Prime Minister and the party leadership.

“We have decided to take forward the reforms that could not take place due to the lack of proper use of political courage and bills for a long time,” he said. We are moving ahead by amending dozens of Acts, Regulations and Procedures mentioned in the party’s manifesto after discussing with the Prime Minister and the President. ’

He said that several ambitious programmes have been announced to disseminate the message of positive changes in the country by restoring the confidence of the private sector. Wagle claimed that such a wide range of economic reform programmes have been made public for the first time since 2048 BS.

“We have announced ambitious programmes to restore the confidence of the private sector and send a message that something is happening in the country now,” he said. Perhaps this is the first time in 48 years that reforms in the economy have been announced with such great ambition. ’

Saying infrastructure development has been prioritized, Finance Minister Wagle said the target has been set to complete the projects that have been in limbo for a long time. According to him, the projects that have failed with the investment of the Nepali people will be completed within the stipulated timeframe.

He said the government was moving ahead with a plan to complete the Postal Highway, the Mid-Hill Highway and other incomplete projects under the urban development within one to three years.

“We are moving ahead with the intention of finalizing the projects that have been stalled for a long time and have not been implemented for a long time, and the projects that have stuck to the money of the Nepali people,” he said. The projects that have been started in one year, two years and three years are incomplete in many places from the postal to mid-hill to urban intensive urban development. The money of the Nepali people is stuck and it should be resolved. This time, the Minister of Physical Infrastructure is in the process of finalizing this matter so that we do not get involved in the race for political credit. ’

Pointing out the need to rise above the competition to take political credit, he said the government was working in coordination with the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport to complete the stalled projects.
