Air Dynasty helicopter crashes in Khotang, 6 including pilot

Kathmandu. An Air Dynasty helicopter from Kathmandu to Khotang crashed at Balabesi of Khotang on Monday. According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), the helicopter overturned due to an imbalance while landing.

According to CAN, all those on board the helicopter with the call sign ‘9N-AFQ’ are safe. There were 5 passengers and 1 pilot on board. One person sustained minor injuries in the accident while the condition of the rest is normal, according to the NRA.

The helicopter had taken off from Tribhuvan International Airport at 11:00 am and crashed at 11:51 pm. According to CAAN, the helicopter overturned due to unbalance during landing. CAN has also clarified that the rumors that any dead bodies were carrying in the helicopter are not true.

Another helicopter has already left for Khotang from Kathmandu for the rescue of passengers and crew from the incident site.
