Election police to be selected in 61 districts

Kathmandu. The Election Police has been selected in 61 districts for the security of the House of Representatives elections scheduled for March 4. According to the Nepal Police Headquarters, a total of 2,11,727 people have applied for recruitment in the election police this time.

According to Police Spokesperson DIG Abi Narayan Kafle, preparations are underway to publish the results in 16 districts where the number of applications is less than the required number.TAG_OPEN_p_9 Applications have been called for re-application in these districts and the results of written and oral examinations would be made public on Wednesday, he informed.

The selected election police will be given 10-day training from January 29. After the completion of the training, they will be mobilized in the field from February 25, according to the Police Headquarters.
