Kathmandu. In the last 24 hours, 26 different types of disasters have been reported across the country. According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA), 16 incidents of fire and four animal attacks were recorded from January 26 morning to Tuesday morning.
According to the NRA, two persons died and five others were injured in the disasters.TAG_OPEN_p_5 According to the preliminary data, the disaster caused a loss of around Rs 25.64 lakh.
Three incidents of fire were reported in Siraha, two each in Morang, Bara and Rautahat, and one each in Sunsari, Bhojpur, Sarlahi, Makawanpur, Lamjung, Pyuthan and Bajhang.TAG_OPEN_p_4 According to the NEA, most of the fires are found to be caused by carelessness.
Meanwhile, incidents of animal attacks have been reported in Sunsari, Saptari, Chitwan and Dailekh districts.TAG_OPEN_p_3 The Authority has urged one and all to adopt precaution as fire incidents may increase due to dry weather.
