NC finalizes candidates in all 165 constituencies

Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress has finalized its candidates in all 165 constituencies across the country for the upcoming House of Representatives election. According to party spokesperson Devraj Chalise, the NC has fielded 106 new candidates in the fray this time.

Spokesperson Chalise said that instructions have already been issued to the rebel candidates to withdraw their candidacies and in most of the places their candidacies have already been withdrawn. “The party has given formal instructions to the rebel candidates wherever they had filed their candidacies, and they have already withdrawn in most of the places,” he said.

According to him, the NC has already given clear instructions to all the organizations from the province, district, local level to ward level to focus on the election. Pledging to fully abide by the election code of conduct, Chalise said the party has issued a separate internal code of conduct to strengthen internal discipline.

“The internal code of conduct has been enforced to strengthen the party internally,” he said, adding that all leaders and cadres have been directed to maintain dignity and respect of the national flag. ’

He also informed that the NC has made a strategy to give priority to digital campaigning in the election campaign this time. According to him, the election campaign will be carried out as per the plan of expanding voters’ access through social media and digital medium.

Spokesperson Chalise claimed that the recently concluded special general convention has generated new energy and motivation in the party ranking. “Even those who did not participate in the general convention have started joining the party activities,” he said, adding that leaders and cadres of other political parties are also joining the party. ’

According to Chalise, the party has adopted the strategy of going for the election based on organizational unity, discipline and modern publicity method.
