Letter sent to all local levels and district coordination committees to enforce election code of conduct

Kathmandu. The Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration has sent a circular to all 753 local levels and 77 District Coordination Committees to enforce the election code of conduct, 2082.

According to Ministry’TAG_OPEN_p_5 s Section Officer Dipesh Kattel, the election code of conduct has been enforced since 12:00 midnight on January 18 and the concerned local levels and district committees have also written to enforce it in their respective areas.

The government had published the notice of the code of conduct, 2082 BS in the Nepal Gazette on December 26.TAG_OPEN_p_4 The bill will also apply to the National Assembly election on January 24 and the House of Representatives election scheduled for March 4.

The Ministry has provided necessary information to all levels and committees through a letter requesting them to pay attention to the implementation of the code of conduct. Chapter 10, Schedule 5 and Section 55 are specifically mentioned in this Code of Conduct.
