Kathmandu. Nepali Congress leader Dr. Shekhar Koirala said he has been raising voice for addressing the demands and issues of youths for a long time.
In an interaction with youths organized in Biratnagar, leader Koirala said that he was working to ensure the representation of youths in the party before the Genji movement. “I have not hesitated on the demands and issues of the youths,” he said. ’
Dr. Koirala was of the view that the representation of youths should be increased by dividing them into three clusters. According to him, there should be 20 per cent representation of youths at the central level, 30 per cent at the state level and 40 per cent at the local level. “If that can be done, the youth can be kept in this country,” he added. ’
He also said that he had contributed to the victory of youths in the leadership level in the fourteenth general convention of the Nepali Congress. “I have made youths elected to the party to instill hope among people along with development of the country,” he said. ’
Dr. Stating that he was involved in the ‘Campaign for Clean Politics’ campaign, Koirala pledged to stand for good governance at any cost.
