Kathmandu. The Central Working Committee (CWC) meeting of the Nepali Congress is taking place today.

Party central office secretary Prakash Sharma said the meeting will begin at 1:00 pm at the party’s central office in BP Memorial Building in Sanepa.

According to a press release issued by Sharma on Thursday, the party office-bearers, central members and province presidents have been requested to be compulsorily present in the meeting.

The meeting is expected to propose party president Gagan Thapa as the next prime minister and take the party to the House of Representatives election scheduled for March 4.

Thapa was elected the party president in the second special general convention of the party.
