Election Commission to publish list of candidates today

Kathmandu. The Election Commission (EC) is preparing to publish the names of candidates for the House of Representatives elections today.

The list of candidates who filed their nominations on Tuesday will be published from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm today.

The EC had filed a complaint against the candidates on Wednesday after the nomination process was completed on Tuesday evening. The complaints related to the eligibility of the candidates were collected from 10 am to 3 pm on Wednesday.

According to the commission, the investigation of the registered complaints was completed on Wednesday evening. On the basis of this, the list of candidates is going to be made public today.

As per the election schedule, the candidates can withdraw their candidature from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on January 22.

The final list of candidates will be published from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on the same day. Similarly, election symbols will be provided to the candidates from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on January 22.
