Kathmandu. The festival of Hindu women, Haritalika (Teej), has begun.
Nepali women are preparing to eat the rate today (Sunday). The four-day Teej festival begins from today with the consumption of the rate to get strength for fasting.
On the first day of Teej i.e. on the second day of Bhadra Shukla Dwitiya, the rate is eaten. There is a tradition of calling the daughter of Maiti and feeding the rate.

Especially, mothers and brothers call daughters, girls and sisters and feed them.
The Teej festival, which formally starts after eating on Sunday evening, is celebrated till Rishi Panchami. On the day of Tritiya, Haritalika Vrat, on the fourth day, worship Lord Ganesha and on the day of Panchami, after bathing and worshiping the Saptarishi along with Arundhati, Teej concludes.
