KATHMANDU: Nepal Army has sent eight tonnes of relief materials to the people affected by the floods in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa.
According to the Home Ministry, eight Nepal Army vehicles carrying necessary relief materials have been dispatched to the affected areas on Thursday night.
The relief materials provided to the survivors include 500 mosquito nets, 1,000 children’s dignity kits, 220 sleeping bags, 500 blankets, 10 plastic sheets, 100 tarpaulins, 500 solar lamps, 500 solar lamp plates and a generator with 30 KVA capacity.
According to the Home Ministry, the equipment has been dispatched to the flood-hit areas immediately to deliver necessary materials and provide relief to the affected people.
Preparations are underway to send additional relief materials as needed, as search, rescue and relief operations are underway in the flood-affected areas.
