Kathmandu. Rasuwa: Floods have directly affected 9 branches of commercial banks in Rasuwa district.
President of Nepal Bankers’ Association Santosh Koirala informed that most of the bank branches in the district have been completely damaged and their buildings have been swept away by the floods.
“There were 9 branches of banks in the flood-affected area. It is estimated that all the branches have been damaged,” he told Nepal Press. ’
According to him, more than half of the employees working in the offices of these banks have not come into contact yet. Chairman Koirala said that some employees came in contact and informed them that although they were safe, there was no office.
Nabil Bank, Prabhu Bank, Global IME Bank and other branches were located in the area.
Efforts are underway to collect the exact details of the damaged branches, he added. They have urged the security agencies to coordinate with the security agencies to intensify the search and rescue operation of their employees.
