Kathmandu. At a time when ride-sharing riders have been demanding fair fares and earnings per kilometre, Pathao Nepal has said that it is positive towards the demand of riders for fair earnings.
Pathao Nepal’s Managing Director Yeshu Thakali said, “Riders should get a fair price for their labor, time, investment and risk. According to him, the financial security of the rider and the safe and reliable service that the customers get are related to each other.
Riders have been demanding a minimum fare of Rs 25 per kilometre. Pathao has said that its current fare structure is not based on the exact rate of Rs 25 per kilometer, but the average effective fare for normal rides of different distances is around Rs 25 per kilometer.
According to Pathao, its fare structure includes base fare, fare per kilometre and fare per minute. According to the company, the fare is adjusted as per the need based on the price of fuel, cost, maintenance and other operating expenses.
