Kathmandu. The ruling Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has held an internal discussion on the working style of its ministers and lawmakers and their presentation in the parliament.
The meeting was held at the parliamentary party office in Singha Durbar in the presence of party President Rabi Lamichhane. In the meeting, President Lamichhane expressed special concern over the behaviour and language of lawmakers and ministers while presenting themselves in the parliament.
The meeting has been convened in the context of criticism that ministers have been giving warning answers to lawmakers during question and answer session in Parliament in recent times and MPs have also been showing indecent or rude behavior when their demands are not addressed.
During the meeting, discussions were also held on how to present the issues of the citizens in the parliament in an effective and dignified manner. President Lamichhane also stressed the need of making the party’s presentation in the parliament more responsible and restrained.
The party has initiated efforts to reform the party in view of the comments outside that the RSP lawmakers lose their stylistic balance while expressing their dissatisfaction in the parliamentary committee and the parliament.
