Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The government, which had sold and distributed cooking gas (LPG) in certain places in Kathmandu in the past and in the past, has decided not to become a retailer on its own.
KATHMANDU: Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has stated that the sale and distribution of LPG from the dealers appointed by the industries concerned will start from today as per the regular process. The corporation has issued a notice and appealed to the consumers to contact the vendors of their choice to buy gas.
Likewise, the corporation has also directed the industry, dealers and distributors to provide daily details to make the sale and distribution systematic and effective.
The NOC has directed the LPG industrialists to provide details including name, address, contact number and cylinder number of the distributors daily by 9:00 am every day in order to make the distribution systematic.
According to the NOC, the NOC has requested the concerned District Administration Office through the Ministry of Home Affairs to sell LPG in high priority to the consumers who are in need of domestic purpose and to facilitate in the supply and distribution of gas.
Earlier, the distribution system of gas became even more chaotic after the government started distributing gas from different places by becoming a retailer.
