‘Summer Love’ at Kantipur Theatre, Arpan Thapa in the lead role

Kathmandu. A play based on Subin Bhattarai’s novel ‘Summer Love’ is being staged. The play was staged at Kantipur Theatre in Gairidhara, August 29.

According to the theater, the initial show of the play is being housefull. The theatre shared its happiness on its Facebook page and wrote, “The play ‘Summer Love’ has received enthusiastic support from the audience. All the 6 shows of the first three days have been housefull in advance. ’

The play is produced by Kantipur Theatre and directed by Samrat Bhujel. The famous actor of the drama movie Arpan Thapa is in the lead role. This is the first time that Arpan has acted on stage with this play.

Other actors Sagar Khanal, Basna Timilsina, Binita Giri, Brabim Basnet, Rakshya Gautam, Sanam Shrestha, Janaki Bajgain, Chandani Malla, Rupesh Bista, Rabita Datheputhe, Rabina Bhandari, Karan Bishwakarma, Rajesh Raj Shahi, Niruta Malla, Chet Raj Bhattarai, Diya Dumi Rai, Prakash Neupane and Malika Adhikari have acted in the play.

The play will be staged till September 20. The play will be staged at 5:15 pm every day of the week except Wednesday and there will be an additional show at 1:15 pm on Saturdays.

Earlier, Kantipur Theatre had staged Amar Neupane’s famous novel ‘Seto Dharti’ by adapting it into a play. The play was staged in 101 shows, which is considered as a remarkable achievement in the Nepali theater.

In recent times, Kantipur Theatre has been adapting Nepali novels into plays and bringing famous actors of cinema to the theater. Popular actors Rekha Thapa, Jeevan Luitel, Benisha Hamal, Sanisha Bhattarai and Manoj Gajurel were also featured in the movie.

Earlier, Kantipur Theatre had staged the novel ‘Seto Dharti’ by adapting it into a play. The play was staged in 101 shows. Who created a new history in Nepali theater.

Kantipur Theatre has been continuously adapting Nepali popular novels into plays and bringing famous actors of the film to the stage.
