Kathmandu. A man has been arrested for cheating people on the pretext of sending them to Canada.
Police on Wednesday arrested Chudamani Rakhal, 33, of Suryabinayak municipality-8, Bhaktapur on charge of cheating money on the pretext of sending him to Canada.
A police team deputed from Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, Teku arrested him from Suryabinayak Municipality-2 in Bhaktapur acting on a complaint filed by a victim that Chudamani had taken Rs 185,000 from one victim in the name of sending him to Canada.
He has been sent to the Foreign Employment Department, Tahachal, Kathmandu for necessary investigation and action.
