Increasing plotting in Kathmandu Valley, high risk of house collapse

Kathmandu. In the corridors around the Kathmandu Valley, the trend of plotting and selling land as plots has increased in recent times. Such plotting, which has been done without proper land use and necessary technical study, is likely to put the houses and structures to be constructed in such areas at risk in the future. In particular, plotting is being done by destroying arable land and filling soil in naturally weak land.
