Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) President Gagan Thapa has said that there is a state of anarchy in the country at present.
He accused the Prime Minister and the RSP lawmakers of showing anarchic behavior. Thapa made the allegation while addressing a gathering of the Federation of Indigenous Nationalities close to the party today.
“The ruling party lawmakers have reprimanded the staff, while the minister has expressed provocation,” he said. I had never seen anything like this before. Now I see the anarchy of the government. The lawmaker said the minister would break his leg. The Prime Minister has held the meeting without a minister. The Finance Minister has held a meeting without a governor. The Prime Minister’s Secretariat has raised people in broad daylight. The CIAA chief has been arrested and made to take a decision. It’s anarchy. It’s government anarchy. The Congress has to play a role in stopping this. ’
He expressed his concern over the incumbent government’s attempt to run the constitution haphazardly. He said that the issue of constitution amendment is not as light as playing pot.
“The government wants to run the constitution. You have to use it. But the government’s understanding of the constitution could push the country into a major conflict. We should not allow conflict to go into conflict. I have told my friends that this is not like playing pot. It’s not like a bunch of bros are making a fuss. It should not be dealt with lightly. ’
