Man arrested for cheating people on the pretext of getting a job in Nepal Army

Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: A youth has been arrested on the charge of cheating people on the pretext of getting a job in the Nepal Army.

The arrested is 35-year-old Harish Chand of Belauri Municipality-8, Calcutta, Kanchanpur, according to Police Inspector Kailash Bista at the District Police Office.

According to him, Chand has been accused of cheating the government by extorting Rs 2.40 lakh on the pretext of providing him a job in the Nepal Army.

Chand has been kept in custody and further investigation is underway, police said.
