Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The government has urged the returnees not to bring gold, precious metals or other goods to Nepal being tempted by unknown persons, brokers or other people.

The Nepal Police Tribhuvan International Airport Security Office has issued a special request stating that some Nepalis returning home after working in countries like Dubai and Qatar for the past few days are being lured by unidentified persons, brokers and others to send gold biscuits, precious metals and other goods to Nepal in the name of financial temptation.

Stating that such acts would be against the law and they were investigating and taking legal action in this regard, the Office warned of action against those involved in illegal smuggling. The Office has also requested the people to immediately inform the security bodies if they see any suspicious activity or risk related to temptation at the airport.
