Kathmandu. The troubled Cooperative Management Committee has returned the savings of small savers of Kantipur Savings and Pashupati Cooperatives.
According to the committee, 334 savers of Kantipur Savings Cooperatives have got back their savings while seven of Pashupati Cooperative have got their savings back. The government has clarified that the amount received from the loan recovery of the troubled cooperatives has been returned to the affected savers.
Similarly, the Troubled Cooperative Management Committee has said that it has recovered money from 65 borrowers from various cooperatives from July 15 to July 29.
According to the committee, in the first phase, the money was returned to the savers who had a small amount of savings. In the same way, the amount will be returned by classifying the amount of the saver respectively.
The work of recovering loans from the troubled cooperatives and returning the savings to the savers of the cooperatives from the amount received from the management of the property is being carried out continuously as per the prevailing legal provisions.
